Intarsia

When knitting intarsia, blocks of color are worked with separate balls or bobbins of yarn, producing a garment only one layer thick. Intarsia is a knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colours. Unlike other multicolour techniques (including Fair Isle, slip-stitch colour, and double knitting), there is only one "active" colour on any given stitch, and yarn is not carried across the back of the work; when a colour changes on a given row, the old yarn is left hanging.

When: Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 7:00pm-8:00pm

Location: Soft N Sassy 8047 Broadview Rd. Broadview Hts, OH 44147 440-746-9650
